Dahlih portal type machining centre comes in three models. The machine major structural parts are manufactured from high quality Meehanite cast iron for superior rigidity and machining stability. Major structural parts are scientifically reinforced by cross shaped rubs for stable accuracy and good rigidity while lightening structural weight. It’s base is three point supported which provides a solid support for high speed, high precision machining. It’s X, Y axis are separately located on columns and base to eliminate overlapped load and any overhang problems, while the linear roller guide ways on the three axes create extra stability, smoother motion and higher speed. A motor heat isolation plate is equipped under the servo motor which prevents the heat generated from the motor transferring to the machine structure while also keeping the machine’s accuracy. Coolant through the ballscrew on the three axes also ensures thermal does not increase, which builds the stability of the feed system and allows for accurate machining.
Dahlih portal type machining centre has advanced high speed spindle built in which provides maximum speeds up to 20000RPM making it excellent for mould an precision parts machining. In order to ensure the long service of the spindle running at a high speed, the spindle is mounted on ceramic bearings. An oil air lubrication system is applied to directly lubricate the bearings for minimizing heat generation on the spindle and a heat sensor is equipped to detect the temperature of the spindle. Once it starts to overheat the spindle stops running automatically. Cooling system installed on the machine for the spindle completely removes all the heat that has been produced which keeps maximum machining stability.
The tool magazine for the portal type machining centre is mounted separately from the machining area in order to prevent contamination from chips or coolant. It is driven by a servomotor for upgrading tool change speed and accuracy. By being separated it gives the operator the ability to work on increased size workpieces.
